Brief Report of the Annual Meeting

Participants: Teacher Wei Jingfu , Guo Jianquan , Wang Jiang, Tian Wenju, 14th grade (Pan Qiqi, Zhang Xiaolei, Xie Yuxin, Sang Zizhi, Wang Zhenzhi, Zhang Weijie, Qian Chenxi), and 15 grades (Wang Xinyue, Cao Feng, Zhang Mengdan, Li Xing, Lei Qiqi, Chen Juan, Jiang Juan, Zhang Yuwei), 16th grades (Xu Zheng, Zhu Zhongjun, Cao Linqiu, Jiang Fang, He Lu, Ma Bingru, Zhu Meifeng, Run Qinqin, Guan Yuanyuan, Dang Mengya, Zhen Lin), Xie Runbin
Time flies, time flies. In a happy festive atmosphere, the New Year’s Day annual meeting of the Institute for China Neighboring Economies is coming.
The annual meeting was officially held in the comprehensive building B409 at 10:00am. The red scroll symbolizing jubilation and harvest slowly unfolded. Under the invitation of the students, Mr.Wei, Mr.Guo, Mr.Wang and Ms.Tian four teachers inscribed on the scroll. Teacher Wei’s inscription “I think so I am” expressed his eager expectation and encouragement for the students: only with diligent thinking can we have some returns. The other three teachers also enthusiastically wrote their New Year’s message on the scroll. Subsequently, the students inscribed on the scrolls and wrote their best wishes for the new year.
After the inscription, Lei Qiqi and Zhang Yuwei presented their annual summary video. Although the video is not long, the exquisiteness of the picture and the concentration of the work have won applause from everyone. In the video, there are the development trajectory of the ICNE, as well as the commemoration of the academic conference. There are the past and present of teachers and students, and there are also the 16th freshmen. In short, every moment of the video have brought infinite touch to everyone, and it also let all of us feel the warmth of ICNE . With the warmth brought by the video, all the teachers and students took a picture together as a souvenir .
After that, the 14th and 15th grade seniors taught their experience. After expressing their profound gratitude to the teachers, each of them described their own growth in the research center and their valuable experience in the process of writing and submitting papers. For example, when writing a thesis, it is necessary to overcome the procrastination and to have a serious attitude. And when submitting a paper, we need to believe our teachers and wait patiently, and try to choice a high quality journals, etc. These hands-on experiences have benefited the 16th grade members and enhanced their confidence in writing paper in the future.
At one o'clock in the afternoon, all members went to the "Jiangnan Stove" restaurant for dinner. The wine was overflowing and the meals were delicious. Teacher Wei had a speech combining his own experience, expressing his hope that everyone should persistently improve themselves in work, study, and life in the future , pursue a “better self,” and the research center could also advance to a higher level.
During the banquet, four teachers interacted cordially with the students. Whether it was the students’ sincere toast to the teachers or everyone’s casual temperament was full of the warmth of the family, everyone enjoyed this rare gathering.
The happy time is always short. At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the annual meeting was coming to the end. Teacher Tian briefly summarized the achievements of the past year, and also expressed her blessings for the work to the 14th grade students and the expectations to the 15th and 16th students in their academic research in a new year. Finally, the meeting for the 2017 New Year's Day came to a successful end following the reluctant goodbye among students.
