On May 11th, Prof. WEI Jingfu and Dr. TIAN Wenju, directors of Institute for China Neighboring Economies (ICNE), visited the Ms. ZHOU Hui, deputy director of the Education and Culture Department of the ASEAN-China Centre. Prof. Wei introduced Mrs. Zhou the development history of ICNE, the scientific research achievements in recent years, and the cooperation and exchanges between university scholars and ASEAN-related countries.

Mrs. Zhou expressed her warm welcome to guests from ICNE of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST). The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on how to cooperate with China's “The Belt and Road” Initiative and carry out the possible ways of cooperation in regional economy and education between China and ASEAN.

Mrs. Zhou commented positively on ICNE's development concept and work outcomes. She expressed the hope that both sides will exchange relevant information actively and increase cooperation opportunities in the future.
