Dr. Qin Bingtao, as a researcher and representative of ICNE attended the International Conference ‘Connecting the ASEAN Connectivity and China to Narrow Down the Development Gap’ on the June 15th in Bangkok and gave the academic report ‘Poverty Relief, Industrialization and Environment’. In the report, he advocated that developing countries should mainly solve the problem of universal poverty through industrialization. And at the same time, they must pay attention to the solution of social problems such as environmental pollution accompanying with industrialization. The international academic conference was hosted by the ASEAN Research Center of Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Scholars from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the Kunming University of Science and Technology in China also participated in the conference.
Experts and scholars from China and ASEAN countries attending the conference talked about the topics related to poverty, development and environment that China and ASEAN face jointly.
