On August 30, 2018, the institute for China neighboring Economies (ICNE) of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology held the first seminar of the new semester in Room 810 of the School of Management, and invited Mr. Huang Yong, editor of Wenhui Publishing House, to guide the Compilation work of the teachers and students at the center.

Professor Wei Jingfu, Director of the ICNE Center, expressed his warm welcome to Mr. Huang Yong on behalf of the teachers and students, and introduced Mr. Huang Yong's rich editorial experience and well-known works to the students. Mr. Huang Yong first emphasized that excellent works should be carefully crafted and combine the author's words with the reader's needs perfectly. Then, Mr. Huang Yong read and commented on the first drafts of the two books written by the teachers and students of the Northeast Asia Reading and the Indochina Reading. He fully affirmed the reading form and believed that he has a complete compilation system and rich content. At the same time, he put forward some suggestions about improving the characteristics of various countries and deepening their relationships with China.

Finally, Professor Wei Jingfu, the director of the center, said that the Reading edited by two researchers from ICNE, Dr. Wang Jiang and Dr. Tian Wenju, is a window for the domestic readers to have in-depth understanding of the national conditions of neighboring countries. I hope that all the teachers and students will make persistent efforts and strive for excellence , and strive to make high-quality publications at the end of the year.
