On November 7, 2018,as the Japanese entrepreneur Mr. Sumiyoshi (Chairman of Hiroshima New Agricultural Construction Co., Ltd.) gave a speech on the theme of "International Business and Talent Growth" at the Institute for China Neighboring Economies (ICNE) ,the 2018 series of lectures on "International Business and Innovative Talent Growth" opened. Then on the afternoon of the 8th, Professor Yang Zhihong from Taiwan’s MingChuan University (a special professor at Peking University) and Professor Sun Yongchao from Shanghai University introduced the “new trend of cultural cooperation between the both sides of the Taiwan Strait” for teachers and students.
As a relatively outstanding entrepreneur in the West Japan region, Mr. Sumiyoshi sincerely shared his international business experience and life sentiments with teachers and students, emphasizing that international business activities are essentially a cross-cultural interpersonal communication, and the key to communication lies in focusing on and explore the real needs of others in life and work in order to be as satisfying as possible. Mr. Sumiyoshi also hopes that the students of USST should stand at a higher starting point, actively seek out the goals that they can serve the society, cherishing and firmly grasping every opportunities.Only after hard work can we realize the value of life that aims to make the world better.
Coincidentally, the two professors Yang Zhihong and Sun Yongchao, who brought us innovation enlightenment on the following day, started from their rich experience in the industry and mentioned in the same way that “the core of the cultural and creative industry lies in creativity, and the idea of creativity cannot be separated from an in-depth interpretation of human beings’ demand." Professor Sun Yongchao pointed out that students should pay attention to current affairs news and learn to explore practical issues from multiple angles and levels.
Nearly 30 people including Yu Zhensheng, the Deputy Director and other leaders of Academic Affairs Office and some undergraduate students and alumni who are starting a business now participated in the above two lectures and seminars. Among them, the graduated alumnus of USST ,JiangGongbao, combined with his own entrepreneurial experience, stressed that failure is the norm, and only those who are not afraid of hardships and difficulties can overcome the difficulties of entrepreneurship and achieve success. The five undergraduate students of the School of Management also introduced the entrepreneurial projects they were planning. Several professors and the seniors fully affirmed the entrepreneurial courage of the students and also gave corresponding suggestions and tips from different angles.
Finally, Professor Wei Jingfu of ICNE said that in the future, ICNE will actively mobilize social forces to hold similar lectures to promote the collision and integration of teachers ,students and the community. Students should actively expand their thinking and broaden their horizons.And If you dare to try and take responsibility, you will not fear the future.
