Mr. Li Yue gave a lecture on "Opportunities and Challenges for the Development of E-Commerce in Shanghai"

China's unparalleled domestic infrastructure and complete industrial system are the best basis for the development of e-commerce in Shanghai, Li Yue who is the director of Shanghai Electronic Commerce Promotion Center (Trade Point Shanghai) and Shanghai center of the United Nations trade network emphasized, facing more than 30 teachers and students from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology’s business school. On the afternoon of December 21, 2018, the ICNE building hidden in the yellow leaves was full of spring. Director Li Yue's excellent lecture on Opportunities and Challenges for the Development of E-Commerce in Shanghai aroused the great interest of the lecturers and students.

Director Li believes that the giant e-commerce enterprises such as Alibaba and Tencent are all born out of the industrial development of their respective cities or regions, and that Shanghai, as the national consumer center city in the production and service industries, is itself the best market for the development of e-commerce. Relying on Shanghai's own comprehensive geographical advantages, combined with a strong industrial system, and driven by the policy of building a smart city and a national science and technology center city, more and better e-commerce enterprises will surely emerge.

Teachers and students put forward their opinions to Director Li on the efficiency and security of information circulation in the e-commerce industry and the construction of cross-border import and export service system, and discussed them warmly. Finally, Mr. Li Yue described a vision of rapid development of the Internet of Things characterized by interconnection of all things that Shanghai may take the lead in realizing.

Professor Zhang Yongqing, Director of Institute of Industrial Economics, Business School, and three ICNE researchers, Wei Jingfu, Tian Wenju and Tang Qiao, as well as more than 20 postgraduates and undergraduates from various majors, attended the lecture.
