The discovery and creation of beauty seems to be the theme of the 2018 annual meeting of the Institute for China Neighboring Economies (ICNE). On the evening of January 10, 2019, the 2018 ICNE annual meeting was held in the small building no. 207, located at the edge of Hujiang lawn in the northern side of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.The director of ICNE, Professor Wei Jingfu's New Year's greetings, Discover Beauty,Create Beauty makes the present teachers and students feel warm and sweet. He hopes that the students will start from finding and discovering beauty in their life, studying and training their own eyes for beauty, and then to work hard to create beauty and make our world a better place.
The annual meeting was brilliant, the teachers and students of the research center exchanged warm greetings with each other. Professor Zhang Yongqing hoped that the students will cherish and make good use of the unique academic research platform of ICNE, and strive to cultivate, grow and harvest as soon as possible.Professor Luo Fang give an earnest admonition that the present hard work is for a better life in the future. She also said that constant exploration and struggle with the beautiful eyes can bring every student a promising future. Teacher Guo Jianquan, Wang Jiang, Guo Jiang, Tang Qiao and Li Jia shared the truth of “Never forget why you started, live a good life every day, and the future must be fruitful with the students.President of Shanghai Xingbao Vocational Training School, Feng Xingbao, congratulated all the teachers and students of ICNE on the New Year as a special guest. He said that people can appreciate others only when they appreciate themselves first, and then everything around them will gradually become better. And he said that the rosy color of career prospects is actually started from the moment when young people understand themselves and appreciate themselves.
This year's annual meeting was held in the form of a Western-style cold-dinner reception. The pizzas surrounded by flowers, colorful fruits and a dazzling array of drinks made teachers and students of ICNE talk a lot. The looping annual summary video and PowerPoint were elaborated by Xu Xueying and Li Mengmeng. With the scenes of ICNE in the past year re-presented, teachers and students may be recalling the past while brewing new research directions or papers in their heart.
In session of speech of the student representative, Xu Zheng, the student of Grade 16, who is aspired tobe a PhD in regional economy, was most impressed by the rapid growth of the ICNE research team. He said that it is a great honor to be able to grow up with ICNE, and he hoped that everyone can become more energetic and make more achievements to reciprocate the strong support from school. There were 10 teachers and students who have received special awards from ICNE for publishing papers related to the economic themes of China's neighboring countries in 2018.Researchers at the research center, relevant tutors, and graduate students at all grade attended the annual meeting. The glamorous 2018 has already flown away, and the expected 2019 is coming.
