The mist in the air has not completely dispersed, and the sunshine in the afternoon has entered the ICNE building in the middle of the large lawn. On the afternoon of April 23, Professor Ge Jianping, director of the Public Management Teaching and Research Section of China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and special researcher of the Institute for China Neighboring Economies at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, visited the ICNE to give an academic lecture on "political externality and Policy Collaboration". Beginning with the logical principle of model construction, Mr. Ge shared the innovations and uses of the model with the audience, which enabled the students to have a basic understanding of the CGE model and also provided necessary knowledge reserve for future academic research.
In the interactive Q&A session, the students enthusiastically asked questions. In response to the question of how to introduce technical analysis tools in China's neighboring economies research, Professor Ge emphasized the importance of the introduction of technical analysis tools to the ability of knowledge reserve research. It is also recommended that students should pay attention to the characteristics of various models repeatedly when using models. According to their own themes, the decision-making is based on the combination of uncertainty environmental factors.
Professor Ge’s profound academic attainment was unanimously praised by ICNE teachers and students.Teachers Qin Bingtao, Guo Jiang, Tang Qiao, Wei Wendong, Wei Jingfu and more than 20 masters from three grades attended the lecture.
