The vice director ofthe Department of International Cooperation and Exchangesof the Ministry of Education, Fang Jun and other leaders visited ICNE of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(USST) in this afternoon.

Director Fang firstly made an on-the-spot inspection of the substantive construction, discipline team, research direction and achievements of ICNE which is the International and Regional Research Center of the Ministry of Education, and inquired about the development details of ICNE. Then director Fang briefly listened to the work report of professor Wei Jingfu, director of ICNE on the 1st floor of the center. He not only affirmed the achievements of our work in recent years, but also hoped that we could always strive to achieve more in basic research on China's surrounding areas and actively expand the channels of consultation with the Foreign Ministry to exert our wisdom in peaceful diplomacy.

This inspection was a part of the school work inspection which is executed by the Opening-up Supervision Group of the Ministry of Education. Accompanied by the vice president of USST, Cai Yonglian and Ma Xiaoting, the director of the International Exchange Office of USST, leaders from the Regulations Office and Asia and Africa Affairs Office of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education and Shanghai Education Commission jointly participated in the inspection.
