The dean of Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Okayama University in Japan, Professor Masao TSURI, who led two related personnel of the International Exchange Department visited ICNE in the afternoon of January 10, 2020.

Professor Masao TSURI is the tutor of Mao Le (a 2018 graduate student in international trade in University of Shanghai for Science and Technology) who was sent by ICNE to study in exchange at Okayama University. After the establishment of an academic relationship between University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and Okayama University, Mao Lei whose solid professional foundation is praised by Professor Masao TSURI.

Professor Masao TSURI said that he was willing to accept this classmate who has a certain language and professional foundation and strong interesting in learning. ”I hope that on the basis of summing up experience, more teachers and students from both sides can participate in this kind of exchange plan. Okayama University can also organize a group of interested students to visit USST for short-term studies and observe relevant courses. Graduate mentors can also conduct joint research to Southeast Asian issues based on mutual understanding of professional expertise. " Professor Masao TSURI said.

    Professor Wei Jingfu, the director of ICNE, received Professor Masao TSURI and his delegation. Professor Wei Jingfu firstly welcomed Professor Masao TSURI's visit and thanked him for his enthusiastic guidance to classmate Mao Lei. Then he introduced the guests the development of ICNE and University of Shanghai for Science and Technology in detail. The two sides discussed and exchanged the similarities and differences between the two schools in teaching settings and campus culture, and shared their experiences in teaching and research. We looks forward to more opportunities and ways to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation with Okayama University.
