According to ‘The Notice of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the Ministry of Education on Carrying out the Periodic Qualification Assessment of Degree Authorization Points from 2020 to 2025’ and the deployment arrangements of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the Graduate School of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, the Master of International Business (MIB) degree authorization point held an external expert qualification evaluation meeting on the afternoon of November 2 in Room 602, Building B, Economics and Management Building.
The five panels were invited to attend the meeting, including Professor Zhang Cheng from the School of Management of Fudan University, Professor Nie Yongyou from the School of Economics of Shanghai University, Professor Wei Wendong from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Mr. Gu Jiahe, former Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and Ms. Hai Yongxia, Chairman of Shanghai Xuande International Trade Co., Ltd. Professor Wei Jingfu, head of the MIB Degree Program, and Associate Professor Qin Bingtao, Head of the Department of International Economics and Trade, made the main reports, and Professor Zhang Cheng, the group leader selected by the experts on the spot, presided over the pre-review of evaluation materials, Q&A and related conference discussions.
The purpose of the evaluation and review of the expert group is to fully understand how to ensure the realization of the training goals and characteristics of the MIB, how to improve the employment of students, and other key indicators, and focus on the construction of the teaching staff, teaching experimental conditions, and the construction of the practice base of production and education. The expert group expressed satisfaction with the development of the MIB master's degree authorization program of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and made an evaluation conclusion of excellent after closed-door discussions.
