The Singapore study tour attended by Cao Jijiao and Wu Yinka, 2023 students majoring in international business, and Yuan Heng, 2024 students, successfully completed the one-week study and inspection mission and returned to Shanghai on November 11. This is the largest overseas study group organized by the Professional Degree Education Center of the School of Management of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, with 30 students from 9 professional master's programs such as International Business (MIB), Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Accounting (MPAcc).

With the theme of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Singapore study visit aims to broaden students' international horizons and enhance their innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities.

The two courses Concept and Practice of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship are taught by two associate professors, Anna and YU Wei of the National University of Singapore, respectively. When summarizing the harvest of the class after the class, Yuan Heng, a master of MIB major, said, Every class is a feast of knowledge, and students from different cultural backgrounds express their opinions and often collide with sparks of ideas. Here, I felt the charm of international education. Cao Jijiao even fulfilled a dream - she received offers from the National University of Singapore and the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology at the same time last year, and finally chose the more cost-effective Shanghai Polytechnic University in order to reduce the burden on her family, and still sat in the classroom of the New National University a year later. At Nanyang Technological University, Yuan Heng, a MIB2024-level freshman, met two secondary school students who studied at the school, and they were admitted to the computer science major for master's and doctoral studies.

When the visiting group visited the office space of o2Work ecological sharing enterprise, the students were amazed by the unique concept of this space design - integrating the natural greenery of the grassland vision into every corner of the office, and providing customers with an office environment with 0 PM2.5 and formaldehyde to ensure the health of office workers. Mr. Li Ruiwu, President of the Singapore Guangdong Chamber of Commerce and the founder of O2Work, not only warmly received all the members of the visiting group, but also presented each of them with his own published book Chasing the Green Lion City, Landing and Rooting, which expounds the business philosophy and entrepreneurial process of o2Work. During the visit to the Singapore-China Science and Technology Industry Innovation Centre at Nanyang Technological University, the students gained a more perceptual understanding of Singapore's offshore finance, the transformation of a global financial hub and the powerful functions of the financial management center, as well as the importance of China's foreign scientific and technological exchanges.

Interestingly, Mr. Li Ruiwu, the founder of O2Work who he had never met, actually had a mutual friend with Professor Wei Jingfu, Professor Ma Yan and Professor Luo Ruikang of the Singapore-China Science and Technology Industry Innovation Center, who were villagers in the same county in Anhui Province. Dramatic interpersonal fate also inspires us to sit at home and look into the distance, the world seems far away and big, but as long as you run to the rainbow and walk in bravely, you are in a small world, and wonderful life stories will happen everywhere. During the short 7-day visit, teachers and students cherished the rare learning opportunity, and Professor Wei Jingfu would ask a few questions about the content of the previous day's class or the novel experience in Singapore every day and post them in the WeChat group for everyone to think about and discuss. Teachers and students made full use of all the opportunities of classes, business visits, and street visits to Singapore, actively reflected on Singapore's unique experience in economic and urban management as a developed country, and discussed the significance of China's reform and opening up, which greatly increased the motivation for patriotism and firm ideals to sweat their youth.
