On December 10, the Association for the Promotion of Young Teacher Growth and Development of the School of Management held an observation and seminar on Teaching Design and Demonstration Courses of English, Bilingual and English Courses. Liu Shengdi and Guo Shengdi, the core teachers of international business major of the China Peripheral Economy Research Center, will be the keynote speakers of this event. Ma Jingbo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, Fang Zhiming, Vice Dean, Li Zhengming, Instructor of the Youth Promotion Association, Liu Qinming, President of the Youth Promotion Association, young teachers of the College and teachers of related courses participated in the event. The meeting was presided over by Liao Xin, vice president of the Youth Promotion Association.
Fang Zhiming introduced the current situation and challenges of the teaching of English, bilingual and professional English courses of the college, and hoped that the two keynote speakers could share the teaching experience of English, bilingual and professional English courses for the teachers of the college, and emphasized that standardizing the teaching process of such courses and improving the teaching quality are of great significance for cultivating undergraduate talents with an international perspective and promoting the long-term development of the college.
Fang Zhiming Delivered a Speech
At the meeting, Guo Jiang conducted a demonstration of the all-English course of Regional Economics. In the 30-minute demonstration class, he lectured in fluent English on the causes of regional economic imbalances. Cases such as Gates, Steve Jobs, and J.K. Rowling interacted in a timely manner and explained vividly and interestingly that technology, investment, innovation, and human capital are the main causes of regional economic imbalances.
Guo Jiang Gives a Teaching Demonstration
Taking the International Business Law course as an example, Liu Shengti shared his experience in teaching the English course. He said that first, it is necessary to focus on the needs of students and society to build teaching materials; Second, teachers need to like the curriculum itself, and integrate scientific research results into teaching, so that the teaching content is cutting-edge and practical. Thirdly, teachers need to persist in learning English, hone their spoken English, and continue to develop from speaking English to speaking English with a pure pronunciation. Fourth, as an all-English course, all teaching activities should be conducted in English, and only when teachers and students speak English throughout the course can they play a role in cultivating the all-English course.

Ma Jingbo and Li Zhengming summarized and affirmed Guo Jiang and Liu Shengdi's ability to teach in English, and thanked them for sharing their teaching experience.
Li Zhengming said that in the teaching process, it is necessary to pay attention to strengthening the interaction between teachers and students, select teaching content, and follow the principle of taking the difficult but not the easy, taking the quantitative rather than the qualitative, and taking the new rather than the old.
Ma Jingbo expressed his expectation that teachers should respond to strict requirements for students in the process of teaching English, bilingual and professional English, so as to devote themselves to curriculum design and classroom teaching, and continuously improve their teaching ability.
